200/1 winners any good to you?
Quite amazing. The no ‘mull’ change of blog actually produced a 200/1 winner in Charlie Beljan! And we also managed to sneak a place with Scott Stallings. Despite last week’s success I will revert to the normal style for the new season.
The US season has now finished (on a massive high for all you blog followers) and there are four events on various tours globally this week.
The USB Hong Kong Open is one of two events on the European circuit and world number one Rory McIlroy will bid to enhance an already terrific event profile, although at the 5/2 quoted I will leave well alone.
The Australian tour hosts the Talisker Masters and this has a very week field highlighted by the fact Adam Scott is 3/1 market leader and Ian Poulter is second in at around 7/2.
The Japanese tour features the Phoenix Open. This event has in the past attracted some of the world’s best players and despite some weakened fields in recent years the sponsors will be delighted that former world number one Luke Donald has decided to ply his trade there this week. He though is another that is very short in the market and there does not appear to be too much value elsewhere.
The most competitive event this week is the second European Tour event, the South African Open. Charl Schwartzel is badly out of form and this event offers a chance to a rejuvenated Martin Kaymer to add another win to his CV. 7/1 though is not my sort of price and I will be keeping my money firmly in my pocket this week.
