This Week’s Greyhound Sky Card

This week’s Sky greyhound coverage comes from Nottingham with the highlight being the Betfred Eclipse final and a cracking one it will be! Here’s some top-notch gambling advice from my betting blog.

Trap one: Mill Bling Bling (winner of the All England Cup and the Steel City Cup)

Trap two: Ballymac William (winner of the Midland Puppy Derby in 2010)

Trap three: Bowtime Joey (would prefer a stiffer test of stamina)

Trap four: Tudor Prince (finalist of the Laurels, All England Cup and the Steel City Cup)

Trap five: Boher Paddy (last year’s Derby favourite and prolific winner on the open race scene)

Trap six: Mark My Words (runner up in the British bred Produce stakes)

Any supporters of Boher Paddy would have thought they were in a fantastic position going into the final after winning his first round then his semi-final. But then the trap draw was done! With five railers and only one wide runner you can guess where he was drawn. Trap 5! This does look a difficult draw with some pacey sorts inside. I think it’s a match between the above and Mill Bling Bling. It will be a cracking race to watch but not one that I will be getting financially involved in!

My fancies come in the supporting card. My first bet will be in the first race on sky the 7.40 over 480 meters. I think Yahoo Jamie has a fantastic draw in red and should follow up last week’s course and distance win!

My big bet of the evening comes in the puppy race. I think this race can go to Chris Allsopp’s greyhound Maireads Hawk; winner of the Coral Puppy trophy at Hove earlier in his career, this greyhound looks a dissent prospect for next year over longer distances.

My last big bet of the night is later on in the evening in the 9.10, a stayers’ race over 680 meters. This can go to Kelly Findlay’s Fleeting Image. He was fancied to land the Yorkshire St Leger over the six bend at Doncaster after his impressive first round win but that was not to be. Getting in all sorts of trouble in his semi-final he unfortunately got knocked out. He can get his career back on track with a trap to line success at this big galloping track that will suit him down to the ground.
