Alex’s Betting News
A quick round up of the weekend’s action, some gambling advice and a look ahead to the coming week from my betting blog.
Tennis
Ok so it turns out that Djokovic was a bit tired after the season he’s had and didn’t even make it out of the group stages at the end of year ATP event in London. Having watched him in his first match against Berdych he was rather fortunate to win but it looked like he was getting one bad game out of his system. How wrong I was! A big congratulations to the imperious Mr Federer who once again showed what a class act he is. In hindsight the 15/8 was never in doubt! The tennis season is very quiet at the moment so not much to report there.
Chelsea vs Man City
Mondays are usually quiet in the office but tomorrow sees a fantastic football match taking place: Chelsea versus Manchester City at the Bridge. Chelsea have finally awoken from a slumber that threatened to label them as also-rans and Man City are the season’s pace setters playing some sexy football but have just succumbed to Champions League elimination.
It looks too tight to call so it may be wiser to look elsewhere for big bets in the betting rather than match odds. This game promises to be a corker and I can’t see either team holding back. Man City have scored as many goals away as they have at home (24) and Chelsea, although having kept two clean sheets in their last 2 league games, are nowhere near watertight. This could be a real goal fest and the over 3.5 @ 2/1 looks tempting but over 2.5 Goals looks a “shoe-in” @ 8/11 general.
On another note Didier Drogba is looking back to his best. I would also recommend Drogba FGS EW @ 13/2. The man always turns up to a big game and if he doesn’t score he’ll almost certainly be sent off so you could have a saver on that! Haha. All in all just enjoy the game. I live with two Chelsea fans so I guess I’ll be cheering them on for the evening.
Olympic Watch
This week saw the London 2012 torchbearers revealed. And guess what… I was nowhere near! I don’t think anyone nominated me despite a few hints here and there and so unfortunately I didn’t get the big call up. On another note London still hasn’t decided on the use of bus lanes for taxis at the Olympics as I found out whilst collecting the Star Sports Christmas cards today. Needless to say, watch this space! Over and out until later on in the week for more gambling advice and big bets.
