Football and Darts Betting

Ok, so last week’s betting blog didn’t go exactly to plan. The FA Cup ties were a disaster and three out of four of my darts players are out! However, Tottenham, Southampton and Super Ted Hankey are still marching on at decent prices.

Today’s blog will be short and sweet giving a quick preview of today’s footy matches. Firstly, Newcastle vs. Q.P.R. The big bet I’m recommending for this match is under 2.5 Goals @ 10/11.

Newcastle have just lost their goal machine striker Demba Ba to the African nations and although Q.P.R. are down in the doldrums they haven’t been losing their games heavily. 5 out of their last 7 games have been under 2.5. As a Q.P.R. fan my judgement can be clouded. However, I was right against Swansea and I can really see the Hughes factor working wonders.

The next match is Blackburn vs. Fulham. The match prices are very disrespectful to Blackburn. How Blackburn are 2/1 AT HOME to a team who consistently has the worst away record every season! If you don’t fancy the 2/1, at least back Blackburn DNB @ 11/10. I can see Blackburn scrapping for every ball and in Yakubu they have a deadly marksman.

On the darts front, tonight’s matchup between Harms and O’Shea slightly over estimates O’Shea’s form. He played the match of his life against Martin Adams and will not replicate that form. He’s had easy games in the 1st and 2nd round. Harms on the other hand has beaten seasoned pros on the way to this semi and will have no fear.

Whilst not being spectacular he has been really solid in each round. O’Shea is really prone to dips in form and I feel the weight of expectation may get to him. Have a big bet on Harms on the handicap of +2.5 @ 10/11 and if you’re feeling really adventurous back Harms @ 9/4.

Not much else to report. Still searching for that elusive 180! Enjoy the darts all. Today’s semi-final between Kist and Hankey could be a classic.

Over and out.
