England Manager Continued…
Ok so that fact that I am probably more bored than you are with the whole scenario means there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever! That said, given the bizarre timing of Mr Capello’s resignation I feel it only fitting to follow up last week’s blog. Do you think he read the blog and thought he would like to see Tanni Grey-Thompson at the helm, hence tendered his resignation? I know, I know, not likely but for this blogger it’s a romantic thought.
Prior to last weekend the tipping provided by this betting blog was a disaster of nuclear proportions. Therefore, you will allow me my moment in the sun when looking at the now current “next permanent England Manager,” although admittedly it’s happened slightly sooner than expected.
Hands up, who took the 2/1 Redknapp… hopefully AiAiAi’s are echoing around the internet chat rooms. Unfortunately, the number getting my gambling advice is not quite in the millions yet, so no ripples were made in the market. Wouldn’t matter anyway, even if I did have untold followers we would all just get restricted to a fiver anyway!
Is it just me or does anyone else think the 1/3 is still a big bet? I mean come on, as if Harry is not going to do everything in his power to get the job, while publicly acting (which he is a genius at I might add) as if it will be hard to leave Spurs. The money will be unrivalled and Harry will finally get the respect I think he feels he deserves. You might be detecting I’m not his biggest fan by now, however, that said I think he is not only the best candidate for the England job, but in fact the only candidate for the job. He will be England manager the only question is when and how.
So here we go prediction time. Stuart Pearce who you may remember I tipped up at 16/1 has been placed in temporary charge and that’s firmly the way I see it… temporary. As I have previously said, the general public choose the manager, and ably supported by The Sun they have picked their man and will be doing all they can to snare him.
Anyway back to the prediction. I see Pearce keeping the seat warm until the end of the season, yet directly communicating with Harry who will be installed at the helm come end of the season. Only time will tell, but I’m quietly confident my 2/1 is in the back of the net.
