L’Aventure, St John’s Wood

I have been accused of only blogging restaurants and establishments I like. That has now changed.

L’Aventure of Blenheim Terrace, St John’s Wood. Crap. So disappointing I actually feel annoyed, almost conned.

• Slow service.
• It was cold in there (it takes a lot for me to feel chilly).
• Our main courses were all cold and we nearly sent them back. (We should have done and come to think of it, I have no idea why we didn’t.)
• No vegetables with the mains – what??!!
• 1 boiled potato cut in half with the main. (No nice dauphinoise, like you normally get in a decent French restaurant).
• The ice cream with my dessert tasted like it had fermented.

Four people, with two bottles of white wine.

How much do you think it was?

£300.

Come off it.

Simply not good enough for that type of money. You could eat in The Colony Casino (different class at the tepinyaki), Scalini, Princess Garden, Oslo Court, and many other GREAT and established restaurants and have change out of £300.

Avoid.
