[dropcap]B[/dropcap]log, it was with such sadness, that I attended the last night at Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium. So many faces congregated, to shake hands and reminisce, possibly for the last time.
I was perfectly situated, in the restaurant, to witness the actions of Head of the GRA; Clive Feltham.
Mr Feltham had the option to look subdued and upset by events. Also, to walk around the stadium, taking the opportunity to thank patrons, trainers, restaurant staff, owners, bookmakers, the list goes on… It would have been a fitting and classy way to conduct himself.
He also had the option to sit at his table all night, grinning and laughing, with a look of great self-satisfaction spread across his face.
He chose the latter.
At the end of the evening, Adrienne Henwood, wife of John Henwood (bookmaker), chose to go over and speak to him, face-to-face. Not easy possibly, for a woman unused to dealing with supposedly high-ranking business people. Again, Mr Feltham had the option to talk to her with humility or to just laugh and nod at her. Oh, he chose the latter, Blog! Clearly, another Employed Person, who has got far, too far ahead of itself!!
CLIVE FELTHAM – ARROGANT ON A TONY BLAIR LEVEL.
Over and out, B x
