[dropcap]I[/dropcap] have to wholeheartedly agree with Ed Chamberlin, following the article in yesterday’s Racing Post, regarding his recent speech, at The Gimcrack Dinner.
OF COURSE, it’s tiring going to The Dogs and being surrounded by 6-Packers and total piss-heads, at the races. BUT, we need them, to keep the show on the road, and as a desperate attempt to attract new blood to The Game. We live in a lowest-common-denominator world now, and attracting The Facebookers, however it can be done, is how it must be done. Pop Concerts ‘n all.
Ex-Eton, Mr Chamberlin, then continues to talk sense, by saying that racing needs to “demystify” itself and also encourage jockeys to do media-training (of which some appear to be in dire need). New initiatives must be tried, kept on being tried, and NOT SNEERED AT.
Hmm…what price Mr Chamberlin NEXT HEAD OF THE BHA…?

Ben’s Food Vlog 43: Gilbert & Scott, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Euston Road, NW1 2AR WEB SITE. Beautiful venue. Superb service. Immaculate menu. And great food, from start to finish. But loses marks for being EXTREMELY expensive. And for The Portions Police having to make regular call-outs. 7.5
