[dropcap]S[/dropcap]o, Blog, The Gambling Commission, playing to the crowd, have fined a Bookie (888) £7.8million. Oh, well done them, for attacking another easy and popular target.
1) A Punter lost some money, he stole, with the Bookmaker. Here’s an idea: How about leaving finding thieves to The Police?
2) Lots of Punters, who had self-excluded, found a way of logging in to the Bingo. It wasn’t malicious. It was a fault on the website.
But HANG ON a minute…
‘Gambling’. This act requires two parties. ‘It takes 2 to make a bet’.
The Knockers. The Slow-Counters. The After-The-Off merchants. The Dodgey-Notes. The corrupters of Staff. WHEN ARE THE GAMBLING COMMISSION GOING TO PROTECT THE BOOKIES FROM THEM?!
In other news:
I owned my first betting-shop at 21 years of age. It was in Sutton Common Road. The Staff were waiting for me though. From Day 1; they were at it. And armed with a security report from the till people, and the fruit-machine supplier, I went to The Police to report them and the Punter that they were in with.
Opposite me, the copper looked back at the innocent little lamb. And what did he say, Blog?
“We know they did it. You know they did it. They know they did it. The CPS won’t bring it to court though, mate.”.
Learning it; THE HARD WAY.
Over and out, B x
