STAR PREVIEW: Chelsea v Atletico Madrid
The Wolves/Wolves recommendation came up last night at 7/4 for a nice profit of 13.12 points profit on the night and the yearly P&L now at the giddy heights of 91 points. Just like the Dow Jones Index it’s at a yearly high !!
The final games in the Group stage of the Champions League take place tonight and tomorrow with a few of them effectively being dead rubbers.
A case in point being Chelsea v Atletico Madrid, Chelsea’s passage to the knock-out phase is already secure and judged by the (delayed) team selection Antonio Conte seems to have his eyes more firmly fixed on taking on West Ham at the weekend in the Premier League.
The team news was late with Atletico’s bus getting caught up in the London traffic !!
CHELSEA STARTING XI
Courtois; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill; Zappacosta, Fabregas, Kante, Bakayoko, Moses; Hazard, Morata.
The most significant news is Eden Hazard is back in the team but otherwise it’s a heavily rotated team to face Atletico who need a minor miracle themselves to progress. Even a win at Stamford Bridge won’t be enough as they need to rely on Qarabag avoiding defeat in Rome which seems an unlikely project as Roma are around 1/12.
Chatting to Charlie (ardent Chelsea fan) on the Star Sports trading desk I soon got the impression that this game won’t be taking the highest priority in Chelsea’s season.

A point should be enough for them to secure top spot and the DRAW seems the play at 12/5 with Star Sports in a match where I’m struggling to have a view on how many goals will go in. The reverse leg finished 2-1 to Chelsea.
