THE EBONY HORSE CLUB: We paid a visit to the Ebony Horse Club in the heart of Brixton, South London, to check out for ourselves the excellent work they do. The charity gives children from the immediate locality the chance to work with and ride horses, as explained on their website:
‘At Ebony Horse Club we use horses to raise the education, life skills, well-being and aspirations of young people growing up in some of the most disadvantaged communities in south London. We teach riding and horse care, take groups to outdoor events and on residential trips, and mentor children experiencing significant challenges in their everyday lives.’
In these two video clips first Simon Nott got a guided tour of the facilities and secondly Naomi explains in some more depth about the history of the Ebony Horse Club.
The club is a charity which relies entirely on donations from the local community and benefactors from the equine world and beyond. If you have been impressed by what you have seen all details of how you can help/donate can be found here.
We hope you enjoy this video visit and much as we did.
