Flynn Goward, managing director for Star Sports said: “Growth in football betting shows no signs of slowing up and we are keen to make our market presence felt with our biggest offering yet, including in-play markets. For the first time Star advertised our football product on the London Underground this summer with a range of Euro adverts themed ‘We Believe In England’ posters – all promoting the fact that we were best price every other team in the tournament including eventual winners Spain …. ouch. We hope to build on that awareness throughout the new season and I’m confident we have a compelling football proposition for punters with many unique markets thrown in.

Dave Jolly, head of trading for Star Sports said: “It’s been a huge summer for football with the Euros, so the break will seem shorter but nothing really beats the start of a new Premier League season and the trading team have put together our most extensive range of markets ever. We’ve got a host of specials on the new season including our popular handicap betting markets. With these markets, It’s not all about Man City, but about giving all fans a chance to be involved, and as a Hammers fan I’m truly grateful.”

Premier League offer …..

Alex Crook, football ambassador for Star Sports said: “I can’t wait for the new season to kick off and am delighted to be teaming up with Star once again. Look out for my extensive previews of the season with what’s likely to happen both top and bottom of the table. I’ll also be bringing you my weekly blog previews and videos together with recommendations for a Star Build-a-Bet. I enjoyed a few notable hits with the Build-a-Bet last season and will be looking to hit the back of the net again!

David Stewart, head of content and social media for Star Sports said: “The kick off of the new football season is right up there with Cheltenham and Royal Ascot as a key priority for the content team. Our coverage this year will more expansive than ever. We are stepping up coverage of the Premier League with previews of ALL matches and also taking an advance look at some of the major European football Star Sports markets including Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A. We are looking forward to working with Alex again and the the content team, headed on football by Joe Citrone, are building a great package of betting content.
