PRESS RELEASE: Farage new favourite to be next UK Prime Minister

Nigel Farage is the new favourite with Star Sports to be next UK Prime Minister.

Farage has leapfrogged Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch in the running to take Keir Starmer’s place on Downing Street.

Having been 11/4 last week, Farage has moved into 9/4, while Badenoch has gone the other way, drifting from 5/2 out to 3/1.

Reform UK’s chances of winning the most seats have also shortened, from 11/4 into 5/2, with the Conservatives and Labour now tied at 6/4.

William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Reform UK continue to gain momentum, this week announcing property tycoon Nick Candy as their new treasurer, following impressive poll numbers.

“And as leader Nigel Farage seeks to build a platform to take power in the next UK General Election, we’ve shortened the MP for Clacton into 11/4 to be next Prime Minister, overtaking Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch.

“All the money so far is on Reform UK and Farage, with punters avoiding both Labour and the Conservatives. Badenoch has been an uninspiring successor to Rishi Sunak, while Keir Starmer has not done himself any favours since taking office.

“Farage’s party have work to do to topple Labour’s dominance in the House of Commons, but they are perfectly placed to pick up the pieces from Labour and the Tories, and we make them now 5/2 to win the most seats the next time the British public head to the ballot box.”
