STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Mon: Millwall v Dagenham & Redbridge

National League side Dagenham & Redbridge will be looking to produce the shock of the FA Cup Third Round when they take on Championship Millwall at the New Den on Monday night, writes JOE CITRONE.

Only 14 miles separate these two sides geographically, but three whole divisions separate them in the football pyramid with Millwall plying their trade in the second-tier whilst Dagenham have been out of the EFL for the past nine years.

Millwall, therefore, will be coming into this one expecting to win. But, as we know, anything can happen in this competition.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

It has not been a great season in the National League for Dagenham & Redbridge who, at the time of writing, languish in 15th-position.

Their poor form earlier in the campaign resulted in manager Ben Strevens losing his job with Lewis Young currently leading the team as interim boss.

Young has got off to a decent start, winning one and drawing one of his first two matches to stake his claim for the role on a permanent basis, but faces his toughest test yet at the New Den on Monday night.

As much as we all love the ‘magic’ of the FA Cup, I think this is going to be too big of an ask for the Daggers against Championship opposition. I like the look of a home win to nil at 11/10 with starsports.bet.
