A fiery festive affair is expected this afternoon when Crystal Palace face Tottenham this afternoon, writes WILLIAM KEDJANYI.

Palace were knocked out of the EFL Cup at Arsenal on Tuesday, having lost 4-1 at Leeds the weekend before, whilst Spurs were taken apart 3-0 at Nottingham Forest before losing a frantic encounter with Liverpool when they ended the game with nine men last week.

The strain of an incredibly busy festive season is showing on a small squad, even one with the talent at Oliver Glasner’s disposal.
