PRESS RELEASE: Reform go odds-on for General Election after Jenrick sacking
Reform UK have shortened into odds-on to win most seats at the next General Election, according to the latest betting from Star Sports.
Reform were even-money before the news of Shadow Secretary of State for Justice Robert Jenrick’s sacking by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, seeing the Nigel Farage-led party shorten into 10/11, while the Tories have drifted to 4/1 from 7/2 to win most seats at the next General Election.
William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “With their rivals in turmoil, it seems that Reform’s grip on the next General Election continues to strengthen and we’ve just made them a shade of odds-on to win most seats when the UK public next goes to the polls.
“Robert Jenrick’s sacking following talk of ‘plotting to defect’ has sent tremors through Westminster today and his removal could well be to Reform’s gain, so we’ve clipped Nigel Farage’s party into 10/11 from even-money to win most seats.
“This looks to be the latest in a long line of blows for Kemi Badenoch’s opposition, and as a result we’ve pushed them out to 4/1 from 7/2 to win most seats at the next General Election.”
