PRESS RELEASE: Reform biggest price in 18 months for General Election
Nigel Farage’s party drift to 6/4 from even-money; Rupert Lowe 20/1 to be next PM
Reform UK have drifted in Star Sports’ General Election market following the launch of new party Restore Britain, and are now the biggest price they have been in the last 18 months.
Reform were priced at even-money to win most seats when the British public next go to the polls but have since drifted to 6/4, with Labour shortening into 15/8 from 12/5, seeing the gap at the head of the market narrow considerably.
The launch of Restore Britain has seen Rupert Lowe’s party enter the market at 20/1 to win most seats, ahead of the Liberal Democrats at 33/1.
Lowe is also 20/1 to be the next Prime Minister, a shorter price than Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch (25/1), but still a way behind market leader Angela Rayner (11/4), while Reform leader Nigel Farage is priced at 15/2.
William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “The launch of Restore Britain by former Reform party member Rupert Lowe has had a significant impact on the General Election betting, with Restore Britain entering the market at 20/1 to win most seats.
“There’s a real chance Restore Britain could eat into Reform’s share of the vote and as a result we’ve pushed Nigel Farage’s party out to 6/4 from even-money – the biggest price they have been since the summer of 2024 – while Labour have shortened into 15/8 from 12/5.
“Lowe has entered the betting at 20/1 to be the next Prime Minister, somewhat remarkably ahead of current leader of the opposition, Kemi Badenoch (25/1), suggesting that his party might be more than just a flash in the pan.”
