DIVINE WHISPER – 2:25pm Goodwood

Divine Whisper probably wasn’t quite at her best at Windsor last time despite winning, after a slightly interrupted preparation, but her previous run at York reads very well, having finished behind a filly who has since gone on to win a Listed race.

Her work has been solid coming into this and, while this sharp five furlongs may just catch her out for speed, she’ll be finishing strongly. She’s always looked like a filly with plenty of ability and six furlongs will suit her even better in time.

AWAKEN – 3:00pm Goodwood

Awaken takes her chance in the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes and has been handed a good draw, which can be a big advantage around Goodwood.

Things didn’t go her way in the Nell Gwyn earlier in the season before her comeback run at Royal Ascot, but she’s in tip-top condition now and has been working well. She’s a big price, but she’s another who should be doing her best work late on.

BOW ECHO – 4:10pm Goodwood

The Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes is shaping up to be one of the races of the season and we’re delighted with how Bow Echo has been drawn.

Billy Loughnane and I both agreed that stall four was where we’d most like to be. It gives him plenty of options from the gates, and looking at the make-up of the race I think we should get a good gallop.

I couldn’t be much happier with how he is coming to the race and it’s over to Billy now!

OLIVER SHOW – 5:40pm Goodwood

Oliver Show has had this meeting as a target for a while by his owners, Pompey Ventures. He’s a horse who likes to be ridden with patience and, while seven furlongs is probably the minimum trip for him nowadays, this looked a better fit than taking on a race like the Golden Mile.

His recent work has been excellent and if he reproduces that on Wednesday, I expect him to be finishing his race very strongly. He ran a huge race here on his last visit and we’re very happy with him. I wouldn’t call him an outsider – I think he’s got a lively each-way chance.
