Cardiff City and Wrexham renew one of Welsh football’s fiercest rivalries for the first time in the league for over two decades when they clash at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday night, writes JOE CITRONE.

Cardiff go into it full of running after banging in goals for fun in pre-season, while Wrexham arrive after three straight 1-0 defeats, but with the knowledge they’ve already put Manchester United and Leeds United to the sword this summer.

Brian Barry-Murphy’s side were taken apart 6-0 by Midtjylland on the opening weekend of preparations but have barely stopped scoring since.
