STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Sat: Hull v Aston Villa
No team has more points than Hull City after two rounds of Premier League fixtures but the Tigers still find themselves 3/1 outsiders against an Aston Villa (17/20) side still looking for their first positive result of the campaign, writes WILLIAM KEDJANYI.
The hosts are looking to become the first promoted team to win their opening three Premier League games and will surely fancy their chances of doing so against a Villa side that looks in need of some time to bed in after a turbulent summer of outgoings and incomings.
Hull are still to concede a goal after following up their 2-0 opening weekend defeat of Manchester United with a smash-and-grab 1-0 win at Coventry last weekend. Hull have already demonstrated that they are a very well-organised side that are dangerous on the break but also, crucially, at set pieces, where they caused Manchester United so many problems.
Hull have added to their summer signings with the deadline day additions of Greek wonderkid Christos Mouzakitis and former Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
This is an ambitious iteration of Hull City, and they are not a team that knows when to lie down. With that in mind, it would come as little surprise if they continued their impressive start to the season when Villa come to town.

Villa’s trump card is undoubtedly manager Unai Emery but he’s going to need to call on every ounce of his experience if he’s going to get this new-look side to gel quickly.
This isn’t a game Villa can just expect to rock up and plunder three points without showing some sort of cohesion, and because that is far from guaranteed, odds-on quotes about the visitors aren’t massively appealing.
Villa showed some promising signs against Arsenal on Monday, but new striker Nicolas Jackson struggled to get involved and he’s unlikely to be gifted the spaces he needs in what is likely to be a congested part of the pitch as Hull look to stifle Villa before hitting them on the break.
This might just be a good time for Hull to host a Villa side still finding their feet and juicy odds about the hosts mean we can add in the insurance of a draw and still get bigger odds than we would about a Villa win. Back Hull/Draw in the Double Chance market.
