STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Fri: Ipswich v Liverpool

Ipswich Town will be hoping to bounce back from their heavy defeat at Manchester United when they welcome Liverpool to Portman Road on Friday evening, writes JOE CITRONE.

The Tractor Boys opened their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win over Sunderland but were beaten 5-2 at Old Trafford last weekend. Gary O’Neil’s side have shown plenty of attacking intent in their return to the top flight, scoring seven goals in their first three competitive games.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Liverpool are still searching for their first Premier League win under Andoni Iraola after being held to 2-2 draws by Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest in their opening two games.

Ipswich have found the net in each of their opening two league games and should provide a threat at home, particularly after scoring twice against Manchester United despite eventually losing 5-2. Liverpool’s defensive vulnerabilities were again evident in the draw with Forest, making goals at both ends an appealing angle.

Liverpool have dominated the recent meetings, winning the last two encounters 2-0 and 4-1, while their overall record against Ipswich is also strongly in their favour. The Reds should have enough attacking firepower to finally get their first victory of the Iraola era, but I expect Ipswich to contribute to the scoreline.

I’m backing Liverpool to win and both teams to score at 6/4 with starsports.bet.
