There is no tougher Premier League test right now than a trip to the Emirates, but it’s an assignment that is going to tell us a lot more about a new-look Chelsea side brimming with confidence,

Xabi Alonso has brought a serious spark to Chelsea’s attack, and it’s abundantly obvious that their top-class front three of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro are going to be a threat to any side they come up against, including one as belligerent as Arsenal.

However, a failure to replace Enzo Fernández, along with an injury to Moises Caicedo, leaves them a bit short in the engine room, and their defensive record remains a concern.

The Blues have now gone 18 Premier League games without keeping a clean sheet and their 4-3 victory over Brighton offered further warning signs, particularly from set pieces – and we all know how effective Arsenal are at exploiting such potential weaknesses.
