STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Sat: Millwall v West Ham

One of English football’s fiercest and most notorious rivalries is renewed for the first time in 14 years when West Ham United take on Millwall at the Den, writes JOE CITRONE.

Alex Neil’s side enjoyed a superb campaign in the Championship last term, finishing in third place – just one point outside of the automatic-promotion spots – before faltering in the play-offs to eventual winners Hull City.

They haven’t exactly been able to pick up from where they left off this season, though, losing three of their opening seven games and landing in mid-table after seven matches played.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

West Ham really appear to be hitting their stride in the Championship, spanking Wrexham 6-0 in their last outing, which will have sent out a statement to the rest of the division that they mean business.

They may have stumbled early on in the season, but now West Ham have got going; I’m not sure if there’s anyone who can stop them.

I don’t expect a goal-fest here, these sort of derbies rarely are when bragging rights are at stake, but I do think West Ham will take maximum points. At 19/10 with starsports.bet, I am backing West Ham and under 3.5 goals.

Also, at 4/1 with starsports.bet, I can’t resist a bet of Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen scoring first in this one.
