It’s been a disastrous start to the season for Burnley, who came tantalisingly close to back-to-back wins last time out after hammering Watford, only to be denied by Charlton’s 96th-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.

Understandably, manager Nicky Hayen is coming under pressure, with the Clarets hovering just above the relegation zone. He’ll be desperate for a result here to ease the mounting scrutiny.

They will need to get it without centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic, though, who picked up a late injury in that Charlton game, which could see Hjalmar Ekdal called into the side or veteran defender Kyle Walker moved into the heart of the defence.

Wolves have fared better than Burnley, but their start to the campaign has still left plenty of supporters dissatisfied. A 3-1 home defeat to newly promoted Bolton Wanderers in their most recent outing saw them slip to 10th in the table.

A defeat on Friday night, especially to a side in Burnley who have really struggled so far this season, might see the pressure start to build on the shoulders of boss Cesar Peixoto.
