BAYERN MUNICH v ARSENAL PREVIEW

As you’d probably expect, Bayern Munich have made an unbeaten start to their Bundesliga season, although do remain level on points with Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table.

They were left frustrated in their last Champions League outung, dropping points in a game they’d expect to win, as they were held to a 3-3 by Viking FK in a game which saw Michael Olise sent off.

That means there is a little more pressure on Vincent Kompany’s side to come into this one and pick up a win, but face a very tough test against a side that didn’t lose in 90 minutes in the whole 2025/26 Champions League campaign.

Arsenal got their own Champions League campaign off to a flying start with a 1-0 win at Napoli and then a comfortable 3-0 victory over Lille, with goals coming from Jurrien Timber, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka.

They then backed that up with a win in the league with a late strike from Noni Madueke sealing a 1-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest. Mikel Arteta will now be hoping his side can make it four wins in a row in all competitions.

The Gunners will be pleased that, as a result of that aforementioned red card, Olise will be missing for Bayern Munich, however Arteta will still be missing Piero Hincapie, Christos Tzolis and William Saliba through injury.
