As our football ambassador Alex Crook noted in his recent weekend takeaways blog, it feels like Liverpool’s big hitters are finally starting to click, with that humbling 3-0 defeat to Manchester City earlier this month perhaps serving as a turning point for Andoni Iraola side.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back after suffering the one result they’ll never want to see on a weekend: a defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

Naturally, both sides are likely to rotate for this one, but that doesn’t mean either will be short of motivation. Liverpool will be keen to keep their momentum going, while Chelsea will be desperate to get their fans back on side after the disappointment of the Spurs defeat.
