ROYAL ASCOT 2013: Final Chapter
![]()
Diamond Jubilee Stakes
Royal Ascot
TIME: 3.45pm, C4
TRULY INTERNATIONAL
It’s been a great Royal Ascot for so many reasons and the Berkshire course stage the fifth and final day today.
The course have done a fantastic job attracting top quality overseas raiders in recent years and the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at 3.45 this afternoon sees a field of 18 – with nine of them trained outside the UK.
They travel no further than Sea Siren from Australia who looks to have a sound each way chance.
He has won three Group 1’s in Australia and ran well in second in his final race before travelling to the UK.
Sea Siren can give the Aussies a repeat win following the (narrow !!!) success of Black Caviar at 1/6 last year.
Ryan Moore is onboard and the jockey has had quite a week with his Gold Cup win for the Queen which will live long in the memory.
It’s a wide open contest. The favourite Society Rock has a good chance on his best form but is not a horse you would want to take too short a price on given his profile and he is capable of blowing races at the start.
