ADAM KIRBY: Kempton Saturday
Relatively quiet Saturday with just the two rides at Kempton. The highlight of my week so far was Keystroke winning the Abernant Stakes at Newmarket on Wednesday. I could hardly say I was optimist going into the race as he was a 66/1 chance but he quickened up in grand style towards the end and I was delighted for winning connections.
SATURDAY
KEMPTON
SHEPHERD MARKET (3.45pm Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes)
Competitive line up for this Listed race over a mile and Shepherd Market is having her first start for Clive (Cox) since she won a Listed race at Saint-Cloud back in September. The obvious questions would be her handling the all-weather for the first time and whether she’s good enough to defy a 3lb penalty for her French win against some race fit rivals including Tiger Eye who is on for a four-timer. She’s proven at the this level though unlike a lot of her rivals.
TIS MARVELLOUS (4.15pm)
Could have done with better luck with the draw as my fella is drawn widest of all in 10 so there’s work to be done. He ran a nice race for me on his reappearance at Doncaster in the Cammidge and that should have brought him on plenty but like my first ride today this will be him tackling all-weather for the first time.
Good luck
