ADAM KIRBY: Lingfield Saturday

Three rides for me at Lingfield Park on Saturday.

A course and distance winner three starts ago but has just gone off the boil in his recent races off his new mark. The handicapper has dropped him a pound but this looks a very competitive class 3 with dangers including Sha La La La Lee who is a confirmed front runner.

MERHOOB (3.45pm)

Another wide open race in which they all look closely matched. My fella holds George Bowen and Corinthia Knight on Wolverhampton form but they all look dangers. He has a great course record over longer trips here but seems equally as capable over the minimum trip too and as I often say, it can just come down to getting a slice of luck as the margins are so fine.

GRIGGY (4.20pm)

Possibly my best chance on a tricky card. He was having his first start after a short break when fourth at Wolverhampton last month but looked unlucky and was doing his best work at the end of the race so fingers crossed the step up in trip will help. He’s relatively lightly raced so hopefully he is still on the improve and can run a big race here off top weight. His trainer John Butler also runs Superseded who is having his first start since joining from the Charlie Hills stable.

Good luck
