ALEX CROOK PREVIEW: Premier League GW7
Star Sports football ambassador ALEX CROOK previews the upcoming weekend of Premier League action, which includes A23 derby between Brighton and Crystal Palace…
🐝BRENTFORD v LIVERPOOL 🔴
Saturday, 3pm
⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐
I am the Gtech on Saturday for what looks like a really intriguing contest between unbeaten Brentford and Liverpool.
The Reds hit Austrian minnows LASK for six in the Champions League on Wednesday, with summer signing Bradley Barcola netting his first ever career hat-trick.
But they still conceded three goals and their defence remains a concern against a Brentford outfit who pack a real punch.
I thought Keith Andrews’ side were unlucky not to win at Aston Villa last weekend, but remain one of only three teams yet to taste defeat this season.
They are also enjoying an eight-game unbeaten run at home while Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has a shocking record against the Bees.
With Alexander Isak definitely ruled out by injury and Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai also struggling, it would be far from a surprise to see the hosts continue their impressive start to the campaign.
Brentford to win is a 13/10 chance with starsports.bet.

⚫ NEWCASTLE v ASTON VILLA 🟣
Saturday, 5.30pm
⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐
Newcastle will be hoping home is where the heart is when they return to St James Park on Saturday evening.
The Magpies have suffered successive 4-1 away defeats at the hands of Leeds and newly-promoted Coventry.
It means new boss Matthias Jaissle has won only two of his six Premier League games in charge since replacing Eddie Howe.
This might not be a great time to host Villa after they thrashed Fenerbahce 6-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday with Nicolas Jackson bagging a brace.
Jackson, who was on Newcastle’s radar at one stage in the summer, has now scored four goals in his last three games.
The former Chelsea man has the attributes to cause a lot of problems for a Newcastle defence that has conceded more goals than anyone else in the Premier League.
Jackson is 17/10 with starsports.bet to score at any time, which feels a very generous price all things considered.

🔵 BRIGHTON v CRYSTAL PALACE 🦅
Sunday, 2pm
⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐
After beating Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest and losing at Lyon in the John Textor derby, Palace face as third grudge game in a row as they travel down the M23 to Brighton on Sunday.
The Seagulls are riding high in third place in the table after winning four and losing just one of their first six games.
They also thumped champions Arsenal 3-0 in their last league game at the Amex so confidence among Fabian Hurzeler’s charges will be high.
Palace have a good recent run of form in this fixture, winning three of the last four meetings.
However, I was not impressed with the Eagles in the triumph over Forest as they could have been out of the game by half time given the number of chances they gave away.
This feels like a golden opportunity for Brighton to end their Palace hoodoo, especially with the visitors coming off the back of a draining trip to France.
Pascal Gross has been one of the best players in the division so far this season and can have a big influence on proceedings in what promises to be a typically feisty affair.
Brighton to win, Gross to score or assist, over 6.5 corners, over 2.5 goals and over 3.5 cards returns 5.5/1 as a build-a-bet with starsports.bet.

🌳 NOTTINGHAM FOREST v ARSENAL 🔴
Sunday, 4.30pm
⭐ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐
Sunday afternoon’s main offering sees title holders Arsenal travel to a Nottingham Forest side still waiting to click under new boss Oliver Glasner.
The Gunners strolled to a 3-0 win at home to Lille in the Champions League on Tuesday, landing our mid-week ‘Best Bet’ in the process.
That followed a hard-fought 2-1 victory at home to Leeds and Mikel Arteta’s men may have to dig deep again down by the River Trent.
Forest’s performances under Glasner are better than the raw form suggests and they have arguably deserved more than their five points from six games under the Austrian.
The last two meetings between these two at the City Ground have ended goalless and Arsenal are the lowest scorers in the current top four while Forest have the joint second least prolific attack in the league behind Tottenham.
Under 2.5 goals at around the 17/20 mark looks a decent bet but I am going to have a stab at the correct score market.
The travelling fans love singing ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ and that could well be ringing out in the away end come full-time.
Arsenal to win 1-0 and make it six victories in their opening seven league games pays 21/4 with starsports.bet.
