BEN’S BLOG: ‘BLATANT STAR SPORTS ADVERTORIAL COMING UP’

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]lthough, in recent years, I have relished making a book at Royal Ascot, far more than Cheltenham, I certainly feel different this year. The Mullins domination now over, all of the tedious 4/7 chances have dried-up too. And Goodie Bookies and Baddie Punters alike, seem to be looking forward to the Festival, more than ever before. THREEEE THE FIELD..!

With the racing being competitive, this has resulted in unprecedented levels of ante-post business, at The Star Firm. I’m delighted, for the game, to see ‘smaller’ owners getting involved and trying to get the early value, believing that they have a realistic chance of ‘that’ winner. KEEPING THE DREAM ALIVE.

In other news:

A recent survey has told us that Not-Staffs, take far less, days-off sick, than Staffs. And that Pampered Public-Sector Wage-Slaves, are the worst repeat-offenders. WHAT WERE THE ODDS, HOMER?
