BEN’S BLOG: ‘I’m from the North Pole. I looked after the penguins.’
[dropcap]Y[/dropcap]ou know, Blog, when you haven’t seen a good friend, for a number of years, but you fit straight back, into the groove? Well, that’s a bit like returning to Casa Hogar. Within 10 minutes, we were in the kitchen, chopping vegetables, and chatting away, once again.
One surprise visitor, given a mega-star’s welcome; was Father Christmas (who couldn’t see straight and had to be guided up and down all stairs).
A sad moment, was to hear the story of Antonio. A little chap, who we got to know; 6 years ago. He was 8 years of age, and had the kindest of natures. Everybody loved Antonio. However, heartbreak was just around the corner… His mother, would come, to visit him, and his sister, Maria. But she used to goad them, into stealing, from other children, and the care-workers. It kept happening. And Antonio and Maria, already desperate, had to go (to where, nobody was really able to say). How is it that children, are so innocent, and adult humans, can be SO VILE?
In other news:
Belinda was today helping; the Green Room. They are children, of 4 – 5 years of age. One, named Tatiana; is an angel. Whilst eating her lunch, she stopped, looked right into B’s eyes, and told her “I don’t have a mummy. I don’t have a daddy. I don’t have any brothers and sisters. I’m from the North Pole. And I looked after the penguins.”. MAKES YOU THINK, DOESN’T IT?
Over and out, B x
