BEN’S BLOG: ‘It’s time to buy a new cue’

Much of my youth, was misspent, at the 147 Snooker Club, in Hove. When achieving a 40 break, one of my many delusions, was that I might have, one day, become a professional. Happy memories.

Anyway, as working life gained momentum, playing tennis, snooker, going fell-walking and watching cricket, turned to hazed memories. None such gratuities could be entertained, whilst the dreaded Punters & Staff, required full attention. No, no.

So it was a real pleasure, to spend an hour at Parris Cues, in South London, with Star Sports PR-Man; Luke Tarr. I wanted to treat Luke to a new cue and John Parris was the man to do the job.

In a society now drowning in the mediocrity of Prezzo, Eat and Southern Rail, it is a pleasure to give custom to independent and quality operators; like Mr Parris. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL.
