BEN’S BLOG: “Let’s all throw mental-illness under the bus”

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]inutes from an urgent meeting between The Guardian and the BBC‎ yesterday:

Okay, guys, there’s been a horrific attack in Russell Square. five people have been wounded and one American tourist even killed.

The killer had a knife, and like every other such recent international incident; was a Muslim.

We can’t possibly bring ourselves to say the last bit publicly, so let’s find a way of completely denying/ignoring the fact.

I’ve got a good idea: Why don’t we throw the incredibly serious issue, that mental illness is, under the bus? That way, we can keep the Remain/politically-correct/middle-class-leftie-media dream going. (DON’T WORRY ABOUT OFFENDING EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER BEEN MENTALLY ILL OR WORKED IN MENTAL HEALTH).
