BEN’S BLOG: Meet Mick Livesey – The new Head of Hard Work at Star Sports!’

[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ord Hesketh, the owner of Towcester Dog-Track, does things properly.

When I sat next to him, at one of his Greyhound Racing hospitality-evenings, he told me that if you want to be the best, you have to serve up the best. And this attitude spreads right the way down, through his management-team, and even the regular Punters take pride in ‘their’ track.

Meet Mick Livesey; the Operations Manager at Towcester; and an old-fashioned Grafter. On race-days, he’s at the track at 7.30am, doesn’t leave till well after the last race, (and he changes into a smart suit before action starts). He takes SUCH care in everything he does for Team Towcester, it’s an inspiration to see.

I am secretly scheming for Mick to join Star Sports, as The Head of Hard Work, getting The Staff into work for half seven, in suits, and not missing a beat! The chaps won’t know what’s hit ’em when Mick turns up with his whip!!
