BEN’S BLOG: ‘Roger Cearns – a Contributor who gives others Chances’

 [dropcap]R[/dropcap]oger Cearns is a gentleman, 70’s hippy, who runs a dog-track.‎ A unique man. Being different, can be difficult, in this life. And because of this, he is an easy target, for all of the armchair track-promoters/experts out there.

2 Facts, for you:

1) He has stood the test of time, and still runs a solvent business. Before you start sidling away, Blog, CAN YOU SAY THE SAME?

2) He likes to enable others, in GIVING them CHANCES. He did it for me, when I was a kid, and begged him for a pitch. And now, along with, go-ahead trainer, Ricky Holloway, has advertised (see Racing Post story, left), to welcome in, to Central Park (Sittingbourne), a new, young trainer, and offer him/her, full start-up facilities and mentoring.

This is an OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION to be making to the game. And it should be recognised. THANK YOU, ROGER CEARNS.
