BEN’S BLOG: ‘Thank God for the Arab Race..!!’
[dropcap]B[/dropcap]log, I really am a disgrace. I apologise (yet again), for not keeping in touch, and will just present you with a limp; I-was-busy-at-Goodwood excuse.
The Starship landed in West Sussex, on Tuesday, and we spent the week, betting on our SUPERB new rails pitch. And what a cracking pitch it is too. Just a shame that everything we laid won! One offender even popped up with Β£300 each-way a 33/1 winner! Booh Hoohhh..!!
However, on the last day, Lofty, my life-long, suffering-clerk, said before the Arab race; ‘What happens here, is that they run along, until the favourite hits the front, and then immediately stop the race.’. Well, surrounded by such positive energy, I proceeded to bat on, and get stuck in. The jolly was duly backed from 5/2 into Evens…but the aye-ayes were dimmed in the final strides, I’m afraid, Blog….and we got a result….ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS..!!
In other news:
Masala Gate, 8 St Pancras, Chichester, PO19 7SJ. Blog, I’ve really gone and found a beauty for you here. If you’re down in Sussex, next year, for Glorious Goodwood, DO NOT miss, this suuuuuperb curry house. Dead heats, with The Maharajah, in Bramber, as my best ever. 9 of us went (with everyone loving it), and what did the bill come to, including LOTS of beer…? Β£220 + service (and the service was excellent too).
Masala Gate. The Chicken and Minced Lamb Anokha is the NAP. First look round the track, it scores a 9.5
Over and out, B x
