BEN’S BLOG: ‘Unlucky-Faces doing early aye-aye’s at Kemptonia..!’

ben_keith_team-150x150[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here’s nothing more, that Star Sports likes to bring the betting-ring, on Boxing Day, than a bit of Christmas cheer. And this year was no exception!

On arrival, it was so mild, that we saw one girl, walking around in a short dress, bare-foot. Global warming – BRING IT ON..!!

faugheenHowever, Blog, I must let you know, that we were offering a special-bet, on Faugheen’s winning-distance. Over 7 lengths, being available, at a most enticing 13/8.

Oh Blog! What joy and rapture, when Mr Faugheen, came storming home…by EXACTLY the seven lengths..! I’m so sorry, the crucial word ‘Over’, not being observed by some of the Punterites, in attendance! Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! UNLUCKY-FACES ALL ROUND..!!

In other news:

I returned, on the 23rd, from an absolutely fantastic holiday, in Tenerife, with old friend of Star; Chris Maskell. Chris used to work ‘the bag’ for us at Warfumstaw dogs, and since then, has gone on to become a high-flyer in the City. He’s always kept in touch though, and his dad, Mark, has marched on too, as a much loved member of the Star Army.

Gordos (‘fatties’ in Spanish) ‎should not miss a fun dinner at Churrasqueria El Rodeo. An Argentinian restaurant, that operates a red-card (no more meat now, thanks) green-card (keep it coming) system, this is a place for all carnivores to try. The salad-bar is something to behold too, and the ever approaching meats will certainly keep your interest up.

Churrasqueria El Rodeo, ‎Calle Dublin 1, 38670 Adeje, Tenerife. Great fun. And great grub too, for all the family. It’s not fancy. But for an experience like this, at fifteen quid a head, it doesn’t need to be. HITS THE SPOT. 8
