BEN’S BLOG: “What are Ladbrokes crying about now?”
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hat’s Ladbrokes’ CEO, Jim Mullen, crying about, in the Racing Post today (pictured right) ? Well done, yet again, Nick Rust, for leading us, and challenging The Firms.
Yes, Jim. Ladbrokes, the Firm you serve; do sponsor. But then again, so do lots of bookies. But every other bookmaker, licensed in this country, pays Levy too. Do you think that, you and Ladbrokes, are above the game, Jim? Should we humbly say “thank yooouu” and feel grateful in your presence?
If you don’t want to pay Levy, why not stop taking bets on horseracing? Is this all because your business, is under-achieving, and playing the victim, whilst taking the knife to racing, is an easy cut, away from your own body? How about sacking a few Corporate Wage-Slaves (or is that a bit too close to home?)??
Remind us though, please, Jim: HOW MANY BILLIONS HAVE LADBROKES HAD OUT OF RACING OVER THE YEARS?
In other news:
“Everybody wants to be a victim these days because it makes life so much easier to explain.”. This is my favourite line from “National Treasure”.
Have you been watching it, Blog? I have, and I’ve been absolutely transfixed, by Robbie Coltrane and Julie Walters, and their story inspired by Operation Yewtree. DON’T MISS…
