BETTING ODDITIES: In his latest weekly blog, DAVID STEWART takes a sideways look at some of the stories making the news in the betting world and beyond.
ON THE 5th DAY OF CHELTENHAM …
A million words have been scribbled on the possibility of a five-day Cheltenham Festival and I don’t intend adding (many) to them. That’s the beauty of betting – the odds say it all – all the words/opinions/news boiled down to a simple mathematical probability.
In an ‘Oddities Exclusive’ I can bring you a first look at Star’s betting:
Will Cheltenham stage a FIVE DAY MARCH FESTIVAL in either 2021, 2022 or 2023?
When will Cheltenham stage a FIVE DAY MARCH FESTIVAL:
None of the three specified years 11/10
MAESTRO ANDRÉ RIEU
I hope you all had a good start to 2020. I was mesmerised by an André Rieu cinema special (yes, I’m getting old).
Rieu has brought plenty of fun, colour and re-imagination to some of the best songs and music ever composed.
….. and no doubt engaged a whole new audience. I’m not afraid to say, it certainly tugged at all my emotions. Bravo, maestro.
IS CATS A POOR MEMORY?
I’m a huge fan of musical theatre and would ordinarily have been first in line to see Cats The Musical at the cinema but the reviews have been so dire I’m now odds against.
In fact, the ONLY reason I may go is just to see HOW bad it is. GULP.
WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?
Me, but why do people use a 50/50 ‘lifeline’ when they freely admit ‘they haven’t got a clue’ and other lifelines are still available?
If you don’t know from four options, you surely also don’t know with the two non runners either?
