DAVY RUSSELL: Galway Festival Saturday

Back to Galway for two rides. Thoughts below, I also have two planned rides on Sunday’s card and will be back with a new blog tomorrow.

I ride the Harry Fry trained runner for the first time today. I thought he ran well the last day at Punchestown when seventh in a big field handicap hurdle and he should appreciate the slow ground. Hopefully he will handle the track and run a good race in what looks a very tricky handicap to solve. I thought Uradel looks interesting off 10-9 for Willie Mullins. He was a winner on the flat here on Monday.

SILVER STAR (5.20pm)

Makes his first start for Gordon (Elliott) and would have been on the track sooner but for some niggling injuries. He had some good form when trained by Alan Fleming and hopefully we can build on what he has already achieved and get competitive here. It’s a big field full of lightly raced improvers.

If you have a question for Davy drop us a line at content@www.starsportsbet.co.uk and we’ll try and include in the next blog…
