SEMI-FINALS | THE RESULTS:

LOFTY’S BETTING NOTES

From the Star Sports pitch:

Weather affected semi-final night , maybe the punters were all at Royal Ascot, they certainly werenā€™t at Towcester tonight.

Decision was made to bet indoors and most the crowd seemed to stay outside resulting in some very quiet earlier races.

The heavens opened just before the 1st Derby semi-final and suddenly betting inside seemed a good idea – only notable wagers Ā£1500 at 10/1 Savana Beau and Ā£500 at 2/1 Signet Goofy stayed in the satchel – bits and pieces for others – winner Romeo Magico good result on night but both him and Beau qualifying, not good for AP book.

2nd semi far quieter, no noticeable bets, Make Noise well supported at 14/1 and eventual winner Kildare popular, who was just a small loser.

Winning but low key night, hope for fairer weather next week ā€¦ and sure to be far busier.
