Don’t dismiss Huddersfield
Challenge Cup Quarter Final
Warrington v Huddersfield
TIME: 4.15pm, BBC2
GIANTS NO PUSHOVER
Warrington go into this afternoon’s Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Huddersfield as the red hot favourites but in my view, just like the weather, too hot.
The Wolves are as short as 4/11 and that doesn’t seem right.
There’s little to choose between them in the Super League this season and Huddersfield come into this match in great form winning 6 from their last 7 games in their best ever season.
I’m quite happy to take them with around an 8 point start on the handicap in a match which I think will prove a lot more competitive than the betting suggests.
Warrington have a good head to head to record against Huddersfield – but that was when the team wasn’t as strong as it is at present.

STAYING HOT, HOT, HOT
Parts of the UK remain on heatwave alert, as the hot weather shows no sign of letting up.
Following the hottest day of the year yesterday, today is expected to be another scorcher with possibly slightly lower top temperatures.
The Met Office said there is a 90% probability of “heatwave conditions” up until 8pm in parts of England.
It added that southwest England is the only area with a level three alert in place for today, which “requires social and healthcare services to target specific actions at high-risk groups”.
A spokesman for Public Health England said: “Level two alerts are triggered as soon as the Met Office forecasts that there is a 60% chance of temperatures being high enough on at least two consecutive days to have a significant effect on health.
