🎯 England have released their squad announcement video with each player getting a unique reveal with darts sensation Luke Littler also making a surprise appearance.

🇷🇸 Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has reacted to the news that two England stars have been left at home, he posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “I would always like to have players like @MarcusRashford and @JackGrealish in the team, players who can decide the game with one move! Not selected/good news for us”

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Jordan Henderson has also taken to social media to break his silence after being left out of England’s EURO 2024 squad by offering some words of support and encouragement to his former Three Lions team-mates on Instagram.

🇫🇷 Brice Samba has been handed France’s No1 shirt for Euro 2024. The former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper – who has impressed at Lens and was handed his first cap in a qualifier against Gibraltar last June – replaces Hugo Lloris, who retired after the 2022 World Cup.

🇵🇹 Bruno Fernandes impressed in Portugal’s 4-2 warm-up win against Finland. Fernandes’s brace makes it nine goals and eight assists in his last 12 for the leading contenders, who are bringing a star-studded side to Germany.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Ben Doak has been withdrawn from Scotland’s squad for Euro 2024 due to injury. The 18-year-old Liverpool forward hadn’t played since sustaining a knee injury in December and after missing his country’s friendly win over Gibraltar on Monday and 24 hours later the Scottish FA confirmed that he will miss the European Championship.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England began their warm-ups with a 3-0 victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina at St James’ Park on Monday, in a performance where a much-changed side struggled to find fluency but were strong at the finish, especially after Harry Kane’s introduction, Cole Palmer marked his first international start with a penalty whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Kane made sure of the victory.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland laboured to victory against Gibraltar, ending their run of seven games without a win. Steve Clarke’s men won 2-0 in the end thanks to goals from Ryan Christie and Che Adams, but they will want to improve before facing Finland on Friday at Hampden Park in their final warm-up.

🇮🇹 Defending Champions Italy and Turkey couldn’t find their best form in a drab 0-0 draw, in what was the penultimate warm-up game for both sides before Euro 2024 starts in 10 days. Italy’s final warm-up game before heading to Germany is against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday, while Turkey travel to face Poland on Monday.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 According to Sky Sports, Eberechi Eze is expected to make his first start for England tonight against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Three Lions’ first warm-up friendly ahead of EURO 2024. Good signs for him being included in the final squad?

🏏 Kieran Trippier has revealed that England cricketer Ben Stokes has inspired the Three Lions ahead of EURO 2024 with the 32-year-old paying a visit to St George’s Park before England take on Bosnia.

☀️ Cristiano Ronaldo is currently topping up his tan on a short holiday before joining up with the Portugal squad ahead of EURO 2024 just days after his side Al-Nassr’s defeat to Al-Hilal in the King’s Cup final reduced him to tears.

🇩🇰 Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand has announced his squad for EURO 2024 with Manchester United duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund both included, but Celtic’s Matt O’Riley is one of the unlucky players to be missing out on the tournament.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The England squad have reported to St. George’s Park ahead of their warm-up friendlies against Bosnia and Iceland next week. The one exception is Jude Bellingham who is in Champions League final action with Real Madrid at Wembley this weekend.

⌚ Wayne Rooney has claimed that Gareth Southgate needs to be smarter in managing player minutes at EURO 2024 on The Overlap with Gary Neville: “”Depending on the opposition, depends on the team that England should go for…I’d like to see players’ minutes managed better”

🇩🇪 Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund) has said it is “bitter” for him to be left out of Germany’s EURO 2024 squad, but did add that he understands the decision made by manager Julian Nagelsmann.

🇵🇱 Full-back Matty Cash (Aston Villa) has missed out on Poland’s EURO 2024 squad due to an injury he suffered in a training session before Villa’s Premier League clash against Liverpool earlier this month.

🇳🇱 Netherlands have announced their provisional squad for EURO 2024. Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen, who has spent time on loan with Borussia Dortmund, is one of the surprise omissions from Ronald Koeman’s squad.

🇧🇪 Belgium have announced their 25-man provisional squad ahead of EURO 2024 with manager Domenico Tedesco including Premier League stars Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Jeremy Doku (Manchester City) and Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) but opting to omit goalkeeper Thibaut Cortouis (Real Madrid) as he continues his recovery from a serious ACL injury.

🇮🇹 Italy boss Luciano Spalletti has admitted that, despite his side being the holders of the competition, there are teams ‘on a higher level’ at this summer’s tournament: “We’ll have to clarify some things: we have strong footballers, so we must make them become a team, and if we make it, I am convinced we can play on par with teams that, at the moment, are on a higher level.”

📱 Luke Shaw has hit back at critics with a passionate statement on Instagram as he looks set to miss out on EURO 2024 through injury despite being named in the provisional squad: “I don’t react to things I see on social media but there are a lot of people questioning my loyalty to this club and asking how I am fit for England but not United. The reality is I am not 100% fit for either right now, but I am doing everything I can and constantly working to be.”

🇪🇸 Spain have announced their provisional squad for EURO 2024 with Premier League players Rodri (Manchester City), David Raya (Arsenal) and Marc Cucurella (Chelsea) all selected by manager Luis De la Fuente. However, there was heartbreak for Pedro Porro (Tottenham), Riqui Puig (LA Galaxy) and Lucas Vazquez (Real Madrid) who have been snubbed by La Roja and will not be involved this summer.

🤢 Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann says he expects goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich) to join up with his squad on Wednesday or Thursday once he’s recovered from a stomach bug.

💰 England fans will be charged £556 to camp on official sites in one of the host cities. All hotels in the Ruhr city of 260,000 are full, so local authorities are laying on extra camping facilities – but they won’t come cheap!

🇮🇹 Luciano Spalletti has officially announced his 30-man preliminary Italy squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship with only 10 players remaining from the squad that went all the way three years ago.

🏖️ It has been revealed that Scotland’s James Forrest has had to ask for a refund on his summer holiday after his call-up to Steve Clarke’s EURO 2024 squad. Always think ahead!

Wednesday 22 May

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland named their provisional squad, including Uncapped Liverpool teenager Ben Doak, Aston Villa’s John McGinn and Manchester United’s Scott McTominay. Two players – likely to be one goalkeeper and one outfield player – will be cut by the final deadline on June the 7th. Scotland have warm-up with friendlies against Gibraltar and Finland before opening the tournament against hosts Germany on 14 June.

📺 ITV have signed up Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou to provide insight of their Euro 2024 coverage. Postecoglou will join a lineup that includes Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Gary Neville amongst their pundits whilst Sam Matterface, Clive Tyldesley, Seb Hutchinson will provide commentary alongside co-commentators Lee Dixon, Ally McCoist and Andros Townsend.

📺 The BBC have also revealed their lineup, with Gary Lineker, Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman and Alex Scott leading their coverage whilst Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard, Cesc Fabregas, Micah Richards, and Rio Ferdinand will be featuring on the BBC’s coverage. Keep an eye out for Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Thomas Frank and David Moyes – they’ll be making their Euros punditry debuts.

Tuesday, 21 May

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England, current ? favourites for Euro 2024, announced their provisional 33-man squad, with a number of big players missing out, including Marcus Rashford and Jordan Henderson. Southgate – who will have to cut at least seven players for the final squad, also called up Jarrad Branthwaite, Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah, Adam Wharton and James Trafford to the preliminary squad ahead of friendlies against Bosnia-Herzegovina on 3 June and Iceland on 7 June.

🇵🇹 Elsewhere Portugal – ? for Euro 2024 glory – have also named their preliminary squad, with Cristiano Ronaldo is set to play at a sixth European Championship after the 39-year-old was included. Portugal’s roster is stacked with talent, including Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leao, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and Goncalo Ramos.

👋🏻 Toni Kroos will retire from professional football after Euro 2024. Kroos, part of the Germany side that won the 2014 World Cup, has made Julian Nagelsmann’s initial squad after being convinced to come out of international retirement in talks.
