Ferrer For First Final ?

Ferrer v Tsonga
French Open Semi Final
TIME: 2pm
TV: ITV 4

Maria did it for us yesterday !!!!

Though it wouldn’t be tennis without the usual in-play drama. After coasting the first set, Azarenka then won the second easily so the odds reset to pre-match for the one-set shootout.

There’s something very mentally rewarding about getting what amounted to a coin-flip right.

More tennis today (not good for the heart I know) but after the titans of Nadal and Djokovic slug it out there is the second semi which I think is easier to call.

I think this is Ferrer’s time. It’s not a coin flip match this one, Ferrer is the favourite at around 4/6 but he is in tremendous form this tournament, playing at the top of his game and has won all his matches in straight sets.

Ferrer has yet to go beyond the Grand Slam Semi Final stage in his career and has been in this position five times before but has a realistic chance against Tsonga – a player who he beat 6-4 and 6-1 on clay in Rome (2010).

He is three spots better on the singles ratings too and Ferrer is a confident bet to follow on from Sharapova yesterday.

STAR FORECAST
(stake between 0.5 and 10 points)
6 points FERRER to beat TSONGA

(+2.80 points Thursday)

REAAL LOST IN THE POST

At Star Sports we have to admit to knowing more about Flora Margarine than we do about Flora FC in the Estonia Cup (seems a highly uncompetitive affair).

We couldn’t help but notice the full-time result last night:

Reaal 0 v Flora 18

Wikipedia tells us Flora is an Estonian football club that was founded in 1990 and a multiple winner of the Meistriliiga title and the Estonian Cup. They have for years been raising the most number of players for the national team.

One such player is Sander Post (pictured) who knocked in an incredible 8 (eight) goals last night.

As for Reaal they were going alright until 11 minutes (see below) and as the old Estonian saying goes you might as well lose 18-0 as 1-0.

They did find a net twice – two own goals from Ilves – the second on 90 minutes which was gutting for 17-0 correct score backers.
