#GreyhoundDerby2022 Kennel Visit: RICHARD REES

KENNEL VISIT: Richard Rees is from a family steeped in Greyhound Derby history; it was won by both his father and his grandfather. Training alongside his wife Jackie and son Charlie, Richard won his biggest title to date when Burnchurch Mick landed the Winter Derby at Monmore in February. Now that dog, plus at least four others will head to Towcester for the Star Sports Derby.

Burnchurch Mick

A dog very much in form having won his last five races including the Winter Derby and a win at Towcester. The question is, can he hold this form right the way through till the end of June?

Hilight Arkle

A dog who hasn’t raced since he was 2nd in the Kent Derby final last October. He’s now on the comeback and his trials have been impressive.

Amaze Me Seb

A young, February 2020 dog who was top grade at Shelbourne Park when he caught the eye of Charlie Rees. A strong runner whose future is likely to lie over six bends, after a tilt at the Star Sports Derby.

Amaze Me More

This dog has raced with the best of them in Ireland and so far, only had three races for the Rees camp. But they are hopeful we might see the best of this dog in the Derby at a big price.

Whats Up Eva

A lively character who has hit a bit of form of late, winning her last two at Hove. And you know what they say about bitches in form…
