Star Sports have today opened their latest new shop in London’s Curzon Street, situated in the heart of Mayfair.

Paul Kirkby head of retail for Star Sports said: “We firmly believe we have created the best betting shop ever made and are proud to be opening in the heart of London.

“We’ve very much taken the high-end approach to our fit out to offer punters a level of comfort hopefully never seen before. In keeping with the area we’ve very much tried to create an experience and ambience not dissimilar from that of a top West End casino, hotel or restaurant.

The Curzon Street shop used to be operated by Ladbrokes but has undergone an extensive refit. Kirkby explained: “We are always looking for new opportunities to expand our shop portfolio and saw this shop as an exciting new venture.

“The team have done a great job in getting it ready. It’s a fully digital shop experience backed up with state of the art TV technology. We have two giant video walls which I believe is unique for a betting shop and also have the ability use a huge single screen format across the 16 smaller screens for added enjoyment of major sporting events.

“The shop occupies two levels which allow us plenty of options and refreshment options will range from teas and coffees right up to full restaurant quality meals.”
