Man U v Man City
STAR EVENT: Man U v Man City
Premier League
TIME: 8pm
TV: SKY
Mind the gap.
15 points is the difference between the Manchester neighbours and after tonight it will be either 18 or ‘down to’ 12.
It’s always a cracking match but just a shame for the neutral fans it doesn’t have more importance in the table.
Here at Star Sports we are pondering how does it shape up as a betting contest with the massive gap ?
Well the last time this fixture was played at Old Trafford the scoreline was Man U 1 Man City 6 but this is a vastly difference Man City side this season. Man U are not on top form either but are simply making less mistakes.
Over 2.5 goals looks the way to go – the fixture usually produces plenty of goals and the relative league positions could make it a goalfest. If it was tighter in the table we’d expect a tighter, cagier game.
Wayne Rooney is set to return for Man United after a groin strain that has kept him out of games against Sunderland and Chelsea.
Rafael (groin) is also fit, while Nemanja Vidic (back) and Jonny Evans (hamstring) are 50-50.
