Merseyside stalemate?

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ome great midweek Premier League fixtures starting with the Mersyside Derby at Anfield tonight between Liverpool and Everton (obviously !).

Both teams are enjoying good runs in the Premier League with just a point splitting the arch rivals in favour of Liverpool who are an odds-on chance to win tonight with Star Sports.

Certainly, they have held the ace cards in recent encounters and you have to turn the clock back to 1999 for Everton’s last win at Anfield which came courtesy of a Kevin Campbell goal in 1999.

A draw looks the interesting option – mind you I said the same last night in the Real Sociedad game which finished 4-0 🙁
