Booming Bitcoin is to reach a whopping $50k per unit by 26th February with bookmaker Star Sports. The cryptocurrency price skyrocketed after Tesla bought $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin at the start of February, and the odds suggest it could be yet to reach its peak.
The price of Bitcoin currently stands at an all-time high of just over $48k, and billionaire CEO of Tesla Elon Musk’s pro-Bitcoin tweets has also helped bumped the value, which has been on the rise since the company’s investment.
Luke Tarr, Head of PR at Star Sports, said: “Bitcoin bulls seem to be winning the battle at the moment and it is now at an all-time high, although it could continue to surge over the coming weeks.
“Spikes in the value of Bitcoin have been attributed to many different factors, including Tesla’s huge investment and Real Madrid’s commitment to signing a player using Bitcoin currency, which all happened this month.
“We’re now seeing interest in Bitcoin hitting $50k per unit by the end of this month at 10/11, while we make it 5/6 that it won’t reach that amount by 26th February.”
